Howard and Horace Burnham letters, 1862-1863.

Two letters, 1862, from Howard Burnham, apparently a member of an Illinois Regiment under the command of Major General Samuel R. Curtis, stationed at Arcadia, Mo., telling of the number of men ill and in hospitals; and two letters, 1863, from Horace Burnham, ill at the Marine Hospital, New Orleans, La., mentioning accommodations at the hospital, work for African Americans, and sanitation facilities, weather, and water supply of the City of New Orleans.
